Marylee Stephenson

Marylee Stephenson has been a dedicated amateur naturalist for most of her adult life, starting as a birdwatcher and expanding her interests over time. Along with the guidebook to the Galapagos, she has written a visitor's guide to the national parks of Canada, which went through three editions and was published in three languages. From time to time she publishes in magazines and appears on radio and tv.

Marylee has a doctorate in sociology and operates her own consulting company, CS/RESORS Ltd., which specializes in program evaluation and research and policy analysis on a wide range of topics. She is a dedicated long-distance runner, having completed her first marathon, the 1999 New York City Marathon, at age 56.
