Ian Sadinsky (Ottawa)

Ian Sadinsky is the CS/RESORS senior associate in Ottawa. He has had a professional relationship with the president of our company since 1985. Ian specializes in policy development, strategic planning, communications planning, and government/industry relations. The latter includes facilitation of consultations and writing up their outcome. Speech writing is one of his most called-upon skills. Ian also has served dozens of commissions, task forces, and working groups in the creation of their reporting documents. He prepares the original material, based on their findings, then shapes the final report into the most effective communication tool. Projects have included the report of the Commission of Inquiry into the Deployment of Canadian Forces to Somalia, the development of strategic communications planning for the new, web-based Canadian Health Network, and the 1997/98 review of the Immigration Act. Ian provided his services as a moderator for national consultations on the proposed revisions of the Act, as well.

As a strategic planner, Ian was instrumental in the development of Canada's first National AIDS Strategy, including organizing and facilitating the initial consultations with provincial governments, national associations and public interest groups. Among his many other clients are: Public Works and Government Services Canada, Health Canada, Human Resources Development Canada, Department of National Defense (Human Resources), Department of Justice, and numerous private sector companies.

In his work with CS/RESORS Consulting, Ian extends our capacity to Ottawa and the governmental and nationally-based organizations we serve there. He provides liaison with clients, conducts research or consultation in Ottawa and Toronto, and links us with any other resources we may need in the area.
